Barry started First Team Pilot Training because the world needs more people excited about flying and the airlines need more pilots. By sharing his aviation passion with people of all backgrounds, he hopes to build an enthusiastic community of pilots willing to help lead, mentor and train others to reach their goals.Barry has lived in Memphis since the age of 3, with layovers in Seattle WA, Newport RI, Chicoutimi QC and Montpellier France. He received his B.S from Christian Brothers University and International MBA from the University of Memphis. Barry worked 19 years in all areas of marketing at FedEx where he helped many others achieve their goals. ‍

With over 50 years in aviation, Larry brings unmatched experience to his role as Chief Flight Instructor. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he trained at Columbus AFB and flew C-130s at Little Rock AFB. He’s been a Certified Flight Instructor since 1976 and has flown for Orion Air, Midway Airlines, and retired from American Airlines after 25 years as Captain and Flight Engineer on multiple aircraft including the 757, 767, and 777. Larry has taught simulators for American Airlines, FedEx, and Republic Airways, and served as a Human Factors Instructor and aviation SME for Blue Threat Enterprises. A retired USAF Major and licensed A&P/IA, he’s passionate about mentoring the next generation of pilots.

Taylor keeps everything running like clockwork. From streamlining processes to making sure no detail falls through the cracks, she’s the calm in the chaos and the glue that holds it all together.

Teddy’s been crushing it as our Head of Fetch Operations. Need a tennis ball? A frisbee? A morale boost? Teddy’s got you covered. When he’s not on fetch duty, you’ll find him perfecting his runway strut, napping like a pro in the hangar, or charming the socks off everyone he meets.
